Reviewing

All scientific articles submitted to the journal “Problemy Dalnego Vostoka” are reviewed for the purpose of their expert assessment.

The chief editor of the journal or his deputies determine the correspondence of the article to the journal topics, to the design requirements and send it for review to a specialist – doctor or candidate of sciences with a scientific specialization close to the topic of the article and publications on the subject of the article under review.

The type of peer-review is double blind (the reviewer does not know the author, the author does not know the reviewer).

The review should reflect:

  • correspondence of the article content to the topic declared in the title;
  • relevance and scientific novelty of the article;
  • reasonability of publishing the article, taking into account the literature previously released on the issue;
  • downsides of the reviewed article, requiring the author to make corrections and / or additions.

Based on the results of the assessment, the reviewer make the conclusion about compliance of the article with the requirements, the need for its revision or the possibility of publication.

The terms of reviewing in each individual case are determined by the editorial board, taking into account the creation of conditions for the fastest possible publication of the article.

If the article is rejected, the editorial staff sends a reasoned refusal to the author. An article not recommended by the reviewer for publication will not be accepted for reconsideration. The text of the review or a reasoned refusal is sent to the author at his/her request.

The editorial staff of the journal sends copies of reviews to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation upon receipt of a request.

The reviews are kept in the editorial office for five years.

The editorial staff do not comment on the scientific level and quality of materials submitted for publication.
